Innovative: More Areas Are Scheduled to Be Restored on St. Croix

Nov. 13, 2008 – Innovative crews continue an aggressive schedule to restore television and Cable TV services to areas on St. Croix affected by Hurricane Omar. Thursday, officials released a new list of areas scheduled for repair through next week.
The areas in which crews will restore telephone service include: Constitution Hill, Tulipan Welcome, Barren Spot, Sierra Verde, Cotton Valley and Jealousy.
The areas crews continue to work to restore cable television service are: Boetzberg, Tipperary, All For The Better, Seven Hills, LaGrande Princesse, Estate St. John, Estate Rattan, Estate Whim and Grove Place.
Innovative crews have been to some of these areas already and are increasing their manpower in some cases.
"Once we declare an area restored for telephone services, the majority of customers in that area will have their services restored," Innovative Telephone President and CEO E. Clarke Garnett said. "However, there are pockets of areas that may continue to be out of service due to dropped wires in the area. Those customers are advised to call Innovative Telephone to make a report."
Garnett also said that when engineers declare an area's cable television services are restored, they are essentially saying the signal in the area has been activated. Some households will continue to experience service interruptions and will need to call the Innovative Repair Service Center to file a report.
For repairs, telephone and cable television, customers can call 912 or 778-1742. Customers with Internet access may submit their reports to the following e-mail address: svcupdt1@iccvi.com. In the e-mail, customers should include their telephone or Cable TV account number, address, the problem they are experiencing, a contact number and brief directions. PowerNet DSL Internet customers whose telephone service is restored but still continue to experience problems can call 714-3700 to make a report.
