Cancer Support V.I. Presents Yoga Therapy

Oct. 27, 2008 – Cancer Support VI has announced the next free presentation by Amy Gurlea of the Jackson Wellness Center and Marshan Sam. Sam will present an introduction to Phoenix Rising yoga therapy, which is a form of mind-body relaxation for cancer survivors. Gurlea will speak on yoga for flexibility, overcoming fatigue and helping relieve the side effects of cancer treatment. Attendees may stay in their chairs, but if they wish to participate, they are asked to please wear loose fitting clothing.
These free lectures will be held at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the Kimelman Cancer Institute, in the Bennie and Martha Benjamin Medical Auditorium.
It will be held a second time at 7 p.m., Nov. 5, at Antilles School, in the Mark Marin Center.
