Brief: Project Homeless Connect Still Set for Friday

Oct. 16, 2008 — Project Homeless Connect will proceed as scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the University of the Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center.
Kim Moholland, St. Thomas-St. John United Way president, said Thursday morning that he anticipates a large crowd for the day. He asked that volunteers try to be at the UVI location by 8 a.m. Friday.
The project is an all-out one-day community effort where people work directly with the homeless population to give them hands-on help, sponsored by United Way and the Department of Human Services. (See "Project Homeless Connect Will Offer Services, Outreach.")
