Oct. 6, 2008 – In Saturday's St. Croix Region's action, the Rovers defeated the Prankton Utd 2-0 at Schjang Field. Fenton Pierre and Wilbur Pierre scored for the winners. On Sunday, the action was an East versus West affair at the Driven Inn in a match sponsored by Senator Norman Jno Baptiste. The East consisted of five players each from the Rovers, Unique and Chelsea while the West consisted of five players each from the Helenites, Skills and Prankton. Macdonald Taylor Jr. of the Skills scored the lone goal as the West won 1-0.
The St. Croix Region consists of six local teams including tenth-time defending champion the Helenites, Chelsea, Skills, Rovers, Prankton and Unique. The games are played primarily on the weekends at either Schjang Field or the Drive Inn.
