Governor and WAPA in D.C. for Meetings on Energy

Oct. 7, 2008 – Gov. John P. deJongh Jr. departed today for Washington, D.C., where he will participate in two days of meetings and discussions on energy-related matters, including the negotiations between WAPA and those entities designated from the RFP process to produce additional energy for the Virgin Islands, according to a press release from Government House.
Joining deJongh in the discussions are members of WAPA's management team as well as members of the authority's governing board. The governor will return to the territory on Thursday.
