Cleone L. Petz Dies in Florida

Oct. 3, 2008 – Cleone L. Petz of Sarasota, Florida, born on St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, died Sept. 28. A memorial Mass was held Thursday, Oct. 2, at the Church of the Incarnation.
Survivors include sons: Christopher, Bruce and Brad; daughters: Anne Petz Tricarico and Maria Petz Burks; sisters: Corinne Lockhart, Grace Dutil and Ethel Lloyd; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by daughter-in-law, Cathy Petz and special niece, Laurie Blackstone.
She was a loving mother and was loved by everyone who knew her. Before moving to Sarasota, Cleone was active in the Boy Scouts and enjoyed making ceramics, which she continued until close to her time of death. She was extensively involved in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, of whom she was justly proud. She left many friends and relatives, including the Lockhart, Garee, Mills, McCallister, Adams, Finch, Andre and Questel families.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Boy Scouts of America – Virgin Islands Chapter, P.O. Box 7175, St. Thomas V.I. 00801.
