St. Thomas Region's Sunday Result: UWS Blank the Raymix

Sept. 29, 2008 – The UWS Upsetters had it their way in the St. Thomas Region's Sunday evening soccer action at the UVI Grounds by trashing the Raymix 5-0 with a comfortable victory. The Raymix contributed to their own demise when a defensive blunder resulted in an own goal early in the first half. The UWS's Miguel George converted another to give his team a 2-0 half time lead. In the second half there was no doubt as to whom would win the game; the only doubt was by how much. Raymond Chetram, and brothers Carlos Claxton and Fitzroy Huggins each added second half goals as the UWS secured the victory.
St. Thomas Soccer Association action continues Tuesday, Sept. 30, at the Lionel Roberts Stadium: UWS vs. Positive Vibes at 7 p.m. and Waitikubuli vs. Laraza at 9 p.m.
