Boys & Girls Clubs Hold Day for Kids at Fort Frederick Beach

Sept. 16, 2008 – Boys & Girls Clubs Day for Kids (BGC Day for Kids) is an annual day that is celebrated all over America to honor children. There is Mother's Day, Father's Day even Ground Hog's Day, now finally there is Kid's Day. The mission of the event is to provide wholesome activities that encourage parents, grandparents and guardians to spend quality time with their children. It will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 20, at Fort Frederick Beach, and it is free to the public. The important message of the day is that adults who spend meaningful time with kids fulfill one of the most basic needs in a child's healthy development.
Boys & Girls Clubs of USVI, in collaboration with other local youth service and community-based organizations, will provide quality activities that promote relationship building and create positive experiences for children on St Croix.
