Dear Source:
Well, the primary elections are over, congratulations to the winners. Now, I know those who have been pushing for certain candidates and against others are going to be eating sour grapes for breakfast, lunch and dinner." Although I am not one to predict the future this one is an easy call. The "usual suspects" in the morning talk show will be crying foul, rigged election, elves and woodland fairies in the machines and whatever else they can concoct. (Notice I said talk show – meaning one specific St. Croix show)
These miscreant callers and their not so stalwart leader need to realize that one band of merry men cannot topple an election. Just because the same voices fill the airwaves every day and night, it does not mean that you have a multitude of followers behind you. Accept your defeat gracefully and channel your energy into more useful areas.
Congratulations to Michael Thurland, this is your year! To Neville James and Ronald Russell, sound legislation and logic have the people in your corner. To Patrick Simion Sprauve in the St. Thomas district, you have many supporters here in Twin Cities.
To Jimi "4 Amendments in 2 years" Webber, I am surprised at your showing, I thought you were going straight out the back door, but Crucian people are always ready to give a person a second chance. You have proven you are good at the "razzle dazzle." But guess wha', the people dem have taken to wearing dark shades when you are around. I went to your event just to see what you were going to say – again, I saw nothing, I heard nothing. Fancy signs don't win an election.
As for Juan Figureoa Serville, you have made some gigantic mistakes when it comes to leaving an favorable impression on the people of St. Croix. You were given two more years to redeem yourself but you chose to dig a deeper hole for yourself. No radio program, or dirty campaigning could ever had an influence on your campaign and service to this community, you did it all your self.
