Energy Office Seeks Vendors for Rebate Programs

Sept. 14, 2008 – The V.I. Energy Office is calling for vendors for the upcoming 2008 – 2009 Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Rebate Program and the Energy Star Appliance Rebate Program. Both programs are designed to educate the public and offer financial assistance as an incentive to purchase energy efficient and renewable energy products, according to a press release from the VIEO.
VIEO, a division of the Office of the Governor, invites all Virgin Islands businesses interested in providing energy efficient and renewable energy products and services to contact it for information on how to become a "VIEO Certified Rebate Dealer." The two programs will run concurrently from Oct. 1, 2008 through July 31, 2009.
Present and former certified rebate dealers are required to submit a new application for re-certification. Interested vendors can stop in at the Energy Office on St. Croix at 45 Mars Hill, Frederiksted or call Leila Muller at 773-1082, ext. 2201.
Interested vendors can stop in at the Energy Office on the second floor at the Cyril E. King Airport, St. Thomas.
The deadline for applications to be returned is Dec. 31 of this year.
