U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Offers Boating Class

Sept. 9, 2008 – The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is offering a boating class approved by the Coast Guard, NASBLA and the Virgin Islands Department of Planning and Natural Resources. The schedule includes four two-hour classes that will meet at 6 p.m., on Sept. 23, 25, 30 and Oct. 2, at the Country Day School (first parking lot on the left).
The objective of the course is to improve water safety and boating skills, and those who complete it will qualify for most boat insurance discounts. The cost is $45, which includes a manual and a certificate of completion after passing a test.
