UVICELL Offers Course on Basic Computer Skills

Sept. 7, 2008 – The University of the Virgin Islands Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning (UVICELL) Center is currently conducting registration for its upcoming Basic Computer course. Classes will be held from 1-3 p.m., every Monday and Wednesday, Sept. 15 through Oct. 6. All sessions will be held at the UVICELL Center on the St. Thomas Campus.
The course is designed for individuals interested in learning the basics of using a computer. Participants will learn the essentials of computing such as working with windows, using the Internet, e-mailing, safe computing and much more. The information will be presented in an easy to understand format and includes hands-on exercises.
