Dear Source:
I am very upset to hear of this snake or any snake being brought into our Island of St. Croix. We raised mongoose for years to rid the island of snakes, so we, (meaning our fore fathers) could raise our chicken, birds, and small animals, not omitting children and workers in a safe island. If new visitors or new resident want to live on St. Croix, I feel they should enjoy our way of life. One of the beauty of home as a child was the freedom to roam the hills, walk the fields, and road without fear. Let's hope there will be no more snakes in the Island, even the two legged ones. Thank You.
