Alert: Water Pressure to be Reduced 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Aug. 19, 2008 – The Water and Power Authority will begin reducing water pressure to it’s St. Thomas customers Tuesday at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.Wednesday. The conservation measures will be in place daily until further notice.
A repture in a main pipeline at the Randolph E. Harley Power Plant is the culprit.
A release from the authority said, "Repairs are taking longer than anticipated due to the critical location of the leak next to one of the water plants."
Customers at higher elevations can expect reduced or a total loss of pressure during the scheduled hours.
