Dear Source:
Maybe if the Governor got out a dictionary and circulated the strict definition of "For Official Use Only" amongst government employees, and actually enforced the concept of "For Official Use Only," we could save millions and millions of dollars a year in taxpayer gas and auto bills. Or is it simply that there is a vehicle and gas entitlement that goes with all the other benefits many, many, many government employees receive that most of the rest of us don't have, yet pay for?
It's Sunday, I'm in my office working to pay bills, and looking out at OMB-1 "for official use only" parked outside. I'm pretty sure OMB-1, if the assigned person is actually the one using the vehicle, isn't in Berne Alley on official government business today. I just don't get it. Can someone tell me if we pay for all of their gasoline as well? I have never seen a jurisdiction where there is such blatant abuse of taxpayer monies.
