VITEMA Holds Ground-Breaking Ceremony

July 31, 2008 – The Virgin Islands Emergency Management Agency will host a ground- breaking ceremony for the Christiansted Underground Electrical Duct System, a Pre-Disaster Mitigation Project (PDM), according to a press release from the VITEMA Hazard Mitigation Division.
It will be held at 10 a.m., on Friday, Aug. 1, on the lawn of National Park Service Fort Christian, St. Croix.
Local and federal officials will attend, and the general public and all special interest groups are invited to participate in the landmark ceremony.
