St. Thomas Recycling Association Has Kick-Off Meeting

July 24, 2008 – More than half of the garbage in St. Thomas landfills is recyclable. Join a grassroots effort to promote recycling on St. Thomas. A meeting to launch the St. Thomas Recycling Association will be held from 6-7:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at the Charlotte Amalie High School cafeteria, Sugar Estate.
The discussion will include: creating a St. Thomas recycling association; why we need territory-wide recycling associations; how to organize a recycling association blue print from the St. Croix Recycling Association; and what we can recycle now and where.
