What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

July 21, 2008 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 1-3 p.m., on Sunday, July 27. This Sunday we will feature music by Willie Nelson and Wynton Marsalis, Sarah Sample, Tim O'Brien, Kenny Neal, Sharrie Williams, Southern Culture on the Skids and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "Two Men With the Blues," a new collaborative release by Willie Nelson and Wynton Marsalis. The CD successfully melds blues, jazz and country into a cohesive whole, and a number of the tunes capture a real New Orleans feel.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Never Close Enough" from exciting, young singer-songwriter Sarah Sample.
We play new music from Kenny Neal, Byther Smith, Sharrie Williams, Crooked Still and more.
We also play music from Dar Williams, Steve Goodman, Taj Mahal, Southern Culture on the Skids and more.
We celebrate the birthdays of blues man Roy Rogers, Bobbie Gentry, Harvey Fuqua of the Moonglows and Nick Reynolds of the Kingston Trio.
We include music from Tim O'Brien, who will be appearing at Tillett Gardens on St. Thomas in March of 2010.

We give away the new release from the Old 97s, the latest from Americana-artist Alex Woodard, the new release from roots rockers Dr. Dog, and, courtesy of Northern Blues Records, a copy of the debut release from the Homemade Jamz Blues Band, who appeared on St. John last December.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker, and by St. Thomas Radiology Associates.
