July 19, 2008 – Joseph Alphonso Edwards, also known as "Rat," who last resided at Catherine's Rest, Christiansted, died on July 3, in Florida.
He is survived by his grandchildren: Naila Edwards, Omar Edwards and Abdullah Edwards; nieces: Claudette E. King, Corinne E. Williams and Velma Edney; nephews: Burton Rodney, Alfred Orville and Bernard Edney; aunt, Maria King; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 9 a.m., on Tuesday, July 22, at the James Memorial Funeral Chapel, La Grande Princesse, followed with a funeral service at 10 a.m., at the chapel. Interment will be at the Kingshill Cemetery.
