July 18, 2008 – The Virgin Islands team played its second match of the American Zone IV Davis Cup Competition on Thursday against Bermuda. Unfortunately they lost 3 – 0.
Jenson Bascome (Bermuda) beat Kristepher Elien 7-6 (7-5), 6-2; Garvin Manders (Ber) beat Kevin Motta, 6-0, 6-1. In the doubles, Davis Thomas and Jordan Talbot (Ber) beat Christian Nelthropp and Ricky Plaskett, 6-3, 7-5.
The last match will be on Friday against Costa Rica. The V.I. had lost its first match against Haiti, 2 -1.
