With Vision Comes Change

Dear Source:
I stand infused with the strength to change the culture of waste, white collar crime, and abuse of our local government; I'm prepared to spearhead a movement of ethical and moral conviction to bring accountability to our dysfunctional local government. We need to change, but in order to implement change, one must have vision. A vision of the future, it does not matter what your goals or aspirations are, you need to have a vision. "Vision is dreams in action."
People who dream and take no action are not visionary; we know people that have lots of action, but do not know where they are going, they are not visionary either. A vision is the picture of the future, where you want to be, with you purposely moving towards it.
With vision comes change. There are three kinds of change: (1) Fundamental change; (2) Radical change and (3) Change that re-writes the rules and regulations of how we do things, and this directly impacts the environment in which we live, work and play.
Many political candidates will tell you we need a change, but do they understand what change is all about?????
Let me tell you the voters of St. Croix, yes we do need change, but we do not need incremental change. Look around you, for the last 20 years we have seen incremental change by this government, funds have been appropriated for many projects— projects that have begun but still have yet to finish because of poor management and a lack of vision.
Incremental change makes the world improve, but it's done slowly but surely, 90% of the time; with this government it's less than 60% completed most of the time.
My vision for getting things done here on St. Croix and the Virgin Islands as a whole, is to have things done with a New Paradigm for Effective Change.
New paradigms create a new playing field, and provide new opportunities for many people to participate and for us all to prosper.
I say to you, the voters of St. Croix, we cannot be equated to the status quo, we can not be liken to them. With vision and strength, we can turn around St. Croix from it's ailment of deep bureaucracy.
Taking the risks to do what's right for the improvement of St. Croix? Is gone.
Making the hard choices necessary to solve St. Croix's problems? Is gone.
Standing up to powerful interests to advance the public interest in St. Croix? Is gone.
A commitment to make government work for our people in St. Croix? Is gone.
And what has St. Croix been left with?
The worse infrastructure in the territory. A local economy on life support. A generation of low-income children denied a quality education, while attending unhealthy school environments. High energy prices. High rate of crimes. Poor Homeland Security protection. High cost of living. High gas prices.
St. Croix needs strong leaders who owes nothing to the insiders and the lobbyists in the smoke filled rooms, and answers only to you!!!! The voters. We need more vision now! With vision comes change.
