Dear Source:
I read and watch as the members in our legislature continue to play games with the well being of the economy of the Virgin Islands at stake. We elected a Governor and as such must place the trust that our Governor, John deJongh has the well being of the entire community at heart. As a long term resident and a Republican I have no issue with the Captain Morgan deal because I know full well that it will benefit the people of St. Croix , but more importantly the people of the Virgin Islands.
This self destruct mode in which our elected leader operate must stop! John deJongh was elected Governor by the majority and as such must and should be supported. John deJongh is not out to sell the soul of the Virgin Islands. I state, with confidence, he has a stake in the long term well being of the Virgin Islands. Have faith my people, the wheels of change must come if we as a community are to make progress. Just what has our Legislature produce that has improved your quality of life. Expanding our economy is key to improving the quality of life and expanding our tax base.
You hold the power, do not forget that, people of St. Croix, St. Thomas, St. John, & Water Island, pick up the phone and call our Senators and tell them to Support our Governor! Have faith, always.
