Brief: Domino Runs Dry But Ample Gas at Other Pumps

July 8, 2008 — Domino Oil gas stations on St. Thomas and St. John have run out of gasoline for the time being, but V.I. officials said other stations are fully stocked.
"There is absolutely no need to panic," said Kenrick Robertson, Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs commissioner.
In a statement issued Tuesday, Robertson confirmed that Domino stations are temporarily out of gasoline, but are expecting a shipment this week and should reopen for business by Thursday.
Both Esso and Texaco have assured Licensing that their retail stations can supply the fuel needs of motorists on St. Thomas and St. John, Robertson said.
A woman who answered the phone at the Domino office on St. Thomas said Domino ran out of fuel July 4. She declined to give her name.
