WAPA'S Continuing Indebtedness

Dear Source:
Another patch, another loan. A 22% increase reflected on our next bill and that's only the beginning. It wouldn't be so bad if our wonderful leaders had seen the woods for the trees many years ago and taken the opportunity to privatize WAPA. South East's offer was a wonderful deal at the time but our faithful-to-the-people's-wishes Legislature knocked it down and so we are where we are today.
It's really too bad and too sad that the "leaders" of the United States Virgin Islands were allowed to carry on for so long the way that they did and continue to do, raping those they professed to serve and – come election time – bamboozling the common man with lavish fish fry and false promises. That salary and those perks are such a draw!
