Dear Source:
I today faxed the following letter to our Delegate to Congress which is self explanatory:
"I was delighted to hear of the quick and positive response you received from American Airlines about the checked baggage surcharge on boxed liquor but telephoned your office yesterday after I read on a visitor's forum that Spirit was not following suit and that recent visitors had been charged $20 to check their one box of liquor.
Subsequent to that, another visitor wrote that she just checked with Delta prior to her upcoming trip and was told that they were not following suit either.
This is a most unfortunate situation and I very much hope that you will be able to persuade the other airlines servicing the US Virgin Islands to follow American's lead.
Thank you so much for your attention to this matter."
