Alert: Rotating Power Outages to Affect St. Thomas Monday

May 12, 2008– The Water and Power Authority is experiencing problems with two of its generating units at the St. Thomas Randolph Harley Power Plant which has caused rotating service interruptions today, as follows:
Until noon
Ridge Road Feeder and
A section of Feeder #7A including Solberg, Agnes fancy, Anna’s Fancy, Dorothea, Hull Bay, Pearl, Sorgenfri, Lower and Upper Caret Bay
10: 30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
A section of Feeder #6A including Fortuna, Hope, Bordeaux, Crown Mountain, Scott Free and
A section of Feeder # 8B including Skyline Drive and Peterborg
12:30 to 3 p.m..
A section of Feeder #7D from Sapphire to the bottom of Cassi Hill and
A section of Feeder # 9C including Devcon, Bovoni, Thomasville, Frydenhoj and Pillsbury Heights
Areas affected will be mostly residential and some large power users which have been asked to operate on generator power until further notice including Frenchman’s Reef, Ritz-Carlton, Westin, and Caneel Bay Hotels and the Tutu Park Mall.
