Alert: Residents East of Christiansted Should Expect Low Water Pressure Monday Evening

April 27, 2008 – The contractor working on the Christiansted Bypass will be completing the installation of the new water line into the Mount Welcome area on Monday evening. Water customers east of Lobster Garden Street including those in Eliza’s Retreat, Mahogany Welcome, Tide Village, Schooner Bay Condominiums and businesses and restaurants along route 75 (East End road) will experience low water pressure from Monday at 5:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Tuesday while the work is in progress, a release from Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said.
