There Are Dangers

Dear Source:

This Sunday, April 13th shows a continuing effort of net fisherman along the waterfront of Frederiksted. The net was tied off to the shoreline just north of Coconuts on the Beach, a favorite snorkel place, and was ran out to sea and back to shore. This was done at 7:00am on a Sunday. N2 The Blue dive shop called DPNR Enforcement and, of course, received no answer. Our boat captain was forced to swim around the net in order to get to the dive boat which means that any swimmer or snorkeler that was less experienced could have been in danger.
The net problem has reached a dangerous point for tourist, and is leaving several public officals liable if an accident was to happen. It is time to enforce the law. This is a democracy. That ensures that no public official has the ability to step over what our elected officials have set forth into law. This is what we teach our children.
