What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

April 2, 2008 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 1-3 p.m., on Sunday, March 30. This Sunday we will feature music by Jeff Healey, Kevin Danzig, Caroline Herring, Mannish Boys, the Mamas and Papas, Merl Haggard and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "Mess of Blues," the last CD recorded by blues artist Jeff Healey, who passed away shortly after completing this recording, which includes some great slide guitar.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Box Cars" from singer-songwriter Kevin Danzig, whose CD has a theme based on life and experiences in some Midwestern states. Kevin will be passing through the Virgin Islands on a cruise ship in early April.
We play new music from Mary Gauthier, Mark Pickrel, John McCutcheon, Caroline Herring and more.
We also play music from the Beatles, Calvin Owens, Tommy James and the Shondells, the Mannish Boys, Ike Turner, Gram Parsons and more.
We celebrate the birthdays of Michelle Phillips of the Mamas and Papas, Merle Haggard, and Scottish musician Brian McNeill. We remember country great Tammy Wynette on the anniversary of her death.
We include music from Deb Callahan, who is performing in local venues in the Virgin Islands.

We give away a blues CD from Floyd Dixon and new releases from folk artists Tom Paxton and Brooks Williams.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker; Molly Molones; and St. Thomas Radiology Associates.
