CAHS Limits Use of Track by Residents

Dec. 8, 2007 – Use of the track by the general public at Charlotte Amalie High School will now be restricted. In the interest of safety and to ensure that student athletes can train without interference and without posing a risk to the safety of others, particularly small children who accompany their parents on the track, restrictions of use must be implemented, according to a press release from Principal Jeanette Smith-Barry.
"Persons from the community who use the CAHS track in the afternoon are asked to give way to the CAHS track team, which practices from 4-6 p.m.," said Smith-Barry. "The team will utilize lanes 1-4; and lanes 5 and 6 will be open to the general public. We ask your indulgence and full cooperation in this matter."
