Health to Hold Seminar on Dengue Fever

Dec. 5, 2007 – The Department of Health will host a seminar on dengue fever with specialists from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, San Juan Dengue Branch. The seminar is coordinated by the Department's Office of Public Health; Bureau of Health Education, Territorial Epidemiologist; Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital and Schneider Regional Medical Center. It will be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, in the third-floor classroom at Juan F. Luis Hospital, according to a press release from Health.
Health Commissioner Vivian I. Ebbesen-Fludd invites all healthcare providers to attend the seminar, which she says will provide public health professionals with strategies for handling a dengue outbreak and provide clinical information on dengue treatment and management. Attendees will receive CME/CEU credits.
