What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

Dec. 4, 2007 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 9. This Sunday we will feature music by Mark Knopfler, Don DiLego, Tom Gillam, Marcia Ball, Joan Armatrading, Terri Hendrix and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "Kill to Get Crimson" from Mark Knopfler. The former front man for Dire Straits has released a new CD with great, literate songwriting and heartfelt vocals.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Photographs of 1971" by Don DiLego. Singer-songwriter DiLego has toured the Virgin Islands before and is planning a return visit probably in January of 2008.
We play new music from the Nields, Bill Staines, Eileen Ivers, Tom Gillam and more.
We also play music from Ray Benson, the Beatles, Joe Ely, the Derailers, Peter, Paul and Mary, Ziggy Marley, W.C. Clark, Marcia Ball and more.
We celebrate the birthdays of blues great Junior Wells, Joan Armatrading, and Rick Danko of the Band. We remember drummer Freddie Marsden of Gerry and the Pacemakers on the anniversary of his death.
We include music from Terri Hendrix, who will be performing at Tillett Gardens on St. Thomas as part of the Arts Alive series on Jan. 23.

We give away a copy of the new release from Herbie Hancock, who has released a tribute CD to the music of Joni Mitchell. It includes contributions from a number of notable vocalists, including Norah Jones and Corinne Bailey Rae. We also give away an EP from talented artist Serena Ryder, who has released an EP with original songs and tastefully chosen covers.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker; Molly Molones; and St. Thomas Radiology Associates.
