St. Joseph H. S. Will Hold 43rd Birthday Gala

Nov. 28, 2007 – St. Joseph High School will be celebrating its 43rd birthday with a gala evening at 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, on the school campus. The school will also present its third annual Legacy of the Saints Awards to four families who have made attendance at the St. Croix high school a tradition for two or more generations. The Garcia, Emma Hansen, Roebuck, and Will and Modesta Thurland families will be recognized for their loyalty and commitment to the school.
Br. James Petrait, OSFS, will receive an award for 20 years of dedicated service, and the Class of 1965 will be recognized as the school's first graduating class. It is St. Croix's only Catholic high school and one of the oldest high schools on the island. It has been re-accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools until May 2013.
The St. Croix Educational Complex Quelbe Band will provide entertainment for the birthday party, and there will be a catered buffet dinner. There will also be a silent auction featuring artwork and jewelry made by St. Joseph High School students.
For more information and to purchase tickets, contact Lily Alvarez, development coordinator, at 692-2455.
