Nov. 26, 2007 – Leona B. Richards of Estate Catherine's Rest died on Nov. 23, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. She was 76 years old.
She is survived by her daughter, Rowena Penn; granddaughters: Kysha Penn, Leisha Donnstorg and Radiance Richards; great-grandchildren: Kyara Hodge, Warren Acosta Jr., D'Shaun Gould and Allen R. Garvey; and adopted children: Vernon and Lloyd Liburd, Sonia French, Belta Martinez, David and Wayne Subero, Bridgette Sheridan, Eustace Sheridan, Omaria and Devon Fredricks. She is also survived by sister, Anna D. Brewster; brother, Ignatius Bastian; special friends: Gloria Joseph, former Sen. Adelbert Bryan, Josephine B. Hector, former Lieutenant Governor G. Luz A. James, Ava Harvey; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m., on Monday, Dec. 3, at the Bethel A.M.E. Church to be followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., at the church. Interment will be at Christiansted Cemetery.
