Rotary Club Harborside Donates Thanksgiving Dinners

Nov. 21, 2007 – Rotary Club Harborside, in conjunction with Youth with a Mission St. Croix, presented Thanksgiving dinner baskets to 16 selected families on St. Croix. The donation, which is part of its community outreach efforts, was delivered to the families in time for Thanksgiving by the Youth with A Mission volunteers.
Rotary Club Harborside President Sonia Boyce said the club has been making the Thanksgiving presentation for the past 10 years, assisting more than a hundred needy families during this holiday.
"Rotary Harborside is honored to continue this tradition and make a donation that directly impacts several deserving families in our small community," she said. "Thanksgiving is a special time for families to get together and we are pleased to contribute in some way to making it a happier time for these families."
Youth with a Mission is an interdenominational youth ministry and mission with locations on St. Croix and in more than 150 countries. Its mission is to serve the practical and spiritual needs of the people of St. Croix by working with churches, social organization and other Christian ministries.
