Claudio Enterprises, Softball Inc. and Cross Tech Take Thursday Night Victories

Nov. 16, 2007 — There were three games contested in the Bob Owens Slow Pitch Softball League on Thursday at the D.C. Canegata Ball Park. Game one and two turned out to be lopsided wins, while game three was much more competitive.
In game one, Claudio Enterprises crushed Quality Auto Pistons 16-4. Claudio had 16 runs on 12 hits with two errors, while the Pistons had four runs on 13 hits and committed two errors.
Julio Carmona picked up the win on the mound for Claudio, while Rod Graci got the loss for the Pistons.
Top hitters for Claudio were Antonio Cruz, 3 for 3 with two home runs and five RBIs, and Miguel Rodriguez, 2 for 3 with two home runs and three RBIs. For the Pistons, Tom Gatti was 3 for 3 with one RBI and Garrett Dorsey was 2 for 2 with one RBI.
Game two was another rout as Softball Inc. pounded the Divi Dolphins 12-2. Softball Inc. had 12 runs on 13 hits with three errors, while the Dolphins had two runs on eight hits while committing five errors.
Dale Harris was the winning pitcher and Ramon Cruz got the loss.
Top hitters for Softball Inc. were Cody St. Pierre, 3 for 3 with two home runs and five RBIs, and Scott Coward, 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs. For the Dolphins, Jaun Burgos was 1 for 2 with a home run and one RBI.
Game three turned out to be the most competitive of the night as Cross Tech managed to edge 40 Caliber 13-12. Cross Tech had 13 runs on 20 hits with two errors, while 40 Caliber had 12 runs on 18 hits while committing three errors.
The winning pitcher was Bill Harris, while Steve Nisky picked up the loss for 40 Caliber.
Top hitters for Cross Tech was Carlos Sanabria, 4 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs, and Richard Sola, 3 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs. For 40 Caliber, Luis Cintron was 3 for 3 with a home run and three RBIs and Cantobal Encarnacion was 2 for 2 with two home runs and three RBIs.
