Brief: Suspect on the Run After Alleged Assault on Police Officer

Nov. 13, 2007 — Police are seeking 30-year-old St. Croix resident Kenyata Horsford, who eluded authorities after an assault on a police officer during a domestic-violence incident, according to a news release issued Tuesday by police spokeswoman Monyka Johnigan.
The incident was reported to police Oct. 8 and a warrant for Horsford's arrest was signed by a St. Croix judge this week, the release said. The suspect is alleged to have assaulted the female officer in her residence, causing injury to her head.
Horsford is described by police as born on Jan. 24, 1973, standing 6'3" and weighing 194 pounds, with a stout build. Police say Horsford frequents the Lorraine Village and Estate Grove Place areas.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Police Domestic Violence Bureau at 712-6017.
