What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

Nov. 13, 2007 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 18. This Sunday we will feature music by Johnny Edson, Johnny Rivers, Ruth Brown, Ruthie Foster, George Benson, Mustard's Retreat and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "Going Home: A Tribute to Fats Domino." An all-star group of musicians play tribute to the great New Orleans musician. The CD includes contributions from John Lennon, Dr. John, Paul McCartney, Robert Plant, Neil Young, B.B. King and lots more.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "More Than Friends," a fine two-CD set from Alternative country artist Johnny Edson.
We play new music from Johnny Rivers, Mustard's Retreat, Sugar Blue and more.
We also play music from Dwight Yoakam, Neil Young, Dr. John, Alescia Nugent, the Beach Boys and more.
We celebrate the birthdays of Hank Ballard and songwriter Johnny Mercer. We remember Danny Whitten of Crazy Horse, R&B great Ruth Brown, Junior Parker, Cab Calloway, producer Terry Melcher and Doug Sahm on the anniversary of their deaths.
We include music from blues and gospel artist Diunna Greenleaf, who will be performing at the St. John Christmas Festival on Dec. 2. We also include music from George Benson, who will be appearing at the Reichhold Center on Nov. 29. We play music from Ruthie Foster, who is scheduled to return to Tillett Gardens on Dec. 3, 2008. We also play music from Kacey Cubero, who begins her Virgin Islands tour in November of this year, playing at various venues.
We give away a copy of the new release "Naughty, Bawdy, and Blue" from blues vocalist Maria Muldaur. We also give away a CD from blues vocalist Darrell Nulisch.
