Organizations and Agencies Will Hold Meeting on Nature Trail

The Virgin Islands Resource Conservation and Development Council Inc. (VI RC&D) in partnership with University of the Virgin Islands-Cooperative Extension Service, UVI-Agriculture Experiment Station, the V.I. Department of Agriculture, the St. Croix Hiking Association, and many other partners will be hosting an informal public meeting and information gathering session for the Estate Adventure Nature Trail. It will be held from 4:30-6 p.m., on Thursday, Nov. 8, at the UVI Research and Extension Center Room 133, St. Croix campus.
All students, teachers, hikers, birders, naturalists, researchers, government agency representatives and other St. Croix residents who use or are interested in the trail and protecting its resources are encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be provided. V.I. RC&D will use the information provided in this and future meetings to develop a master plan for the trail. V.I. RC&D and its partners are also seeking volunteers to help maintain and expand the trail.

Unlike many news organizations, we haven't put up a paywall - we want to keep our journalism as open as we can. Our sites are more popular than ever, but advertising revenues are falling - so you can see why we could use your help. Our independent journalism costs time, money and hard work to keep you informed, but we do it because we believe that it matters. If everybody who appreciates our reporting efforts were to help fund it for as little as $1, our future would be much more secure. Thanks in advance for your support!
