UVI SBDC Offers Two Seminars on Personal Finances

Oct. 30, 2007 – The University of the Virgin Islands Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will be offering two seminars about personal finances: "Personal Credit and Personal Money Management," on Wednesday, Nov. 7, and "How to Get Out of Debt and/or Stay Out of Debt," on Wednesday, Nov. 14. Both seminars will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the UVI SBDC Training Facility at Nisky Center, Suite 720, St. Thomas. Admission is $20 for each seminar, with a $5 discount for each seminar for those who pre-register. UVI students, faculty, staff and veterans of U.S. military are admitted free with a valid i.d.; however, pre-registration is required.
These seminars will give beginners some basic information to help them stay on the right track and will help those who have had some challenges with personal finances to get back on the right track. It is never too early or too late to learn about your credit, money management or how to get out and or stay out of debt. Your personal credit and money management can have an impact on your ability to acquire financial assistance for your business.
