Special Education Will Hold a Parent Meeting During OSEP Visit

Oct. 29, 2007 – Parents and guardians of children with disabilities are advised of a parent meeting to be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 6, at the Curriculum Center, St. Thomas. "Representatives of the United States Department of Education-Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) will be in the territory conducting a verification visit during the week of Nov. 5-9, and they have requested to meet with all parents of children with disabilities," according to a release from State Director of Special Education Carrie S. Johns.
Interested parents are encouraged to attend this very important meeting and to come prepared to present questions, comments or concerns.
