CCT Opens Season with Wacky Comedy

Oct. 28, 2007 – Caribbean Community Theatre's first production of the 2007-2008 season is "Anybody Out There?" There will be seven performances of the wild farce, one of playwright John Patrick's fastest and funniest. Performances will be held at 8 p.m., on Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 and 17, with a Sunday matinee at 4 p.m., on Nov. 11. All performances are at the theatre, No. 18 Estate Orange Grove, Christiansted. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students.
The comedy deals with the uproarious metamorphosis of a shy, nerdy bank clerk into a fearless hero after he has been told that he has only six months to live. Oliver Pankey goes from being a born loser to a raging lion who performs feats of dazzling bravery.
The play is directed by Starla Richter and features nine cast members: Sayeeda Carter, Allan LaBerteaux, Derek Martin, Mariah Mays, Marty Merrick, Bruce Spector, Christine Thomas, Nick Tyler and Glen Wells.
