Oct. 26, 2007 – Egbert Alexander Smith, also known as " Smith" or "Paps," of LaVallee, died on Oct. 21, at his residence. He was 82 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Leona E. Smith; daughters: Denise Smith Scatliffe and Lorraine Moultrie; stepdaughter, Bernice Todman; sons: Anthony Smith Sr., Roy Smith Sr., Egbert Smith II, Olaf Smith Sr., Mark Smith Sr., Offley Smith, David Smith and Kenneth Todman; and stepson, Kenneth Todman. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, as well as many relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing from 9-10 a.m., on Friday, Nov. 2, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., at the church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
