Tillett to Hold Third Annual Caribbean All-Clay Art Exhibit

Oct. 5, 2007 – Tillett Gallery will exhibit a wide range of traditional and innovative sculpture, functional ware, tile and objects d'art produced by local clay artists, potters and ceramicists. The show is called Fireworks III and is the 3rd Annual Caribbean All-Clay Art Exhibit.
There will be an opening reception held from 5-8 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 26, at Tillett Gallery in Tillett Gardens, on St. Thomas. This year's show will be judged by locally known clay sculptor Edney Freeman. Prizes will be given in professional, intermediate and student categories, and there will also be a People's Choice Award and an Artists' Choice Award.
Sponsors include Ricardo and Josephina Charaf, Michael Weinman, MSI Interiors, Marriott's Frenchman's Reef and Morning Star, Bluestone Services, Mango Tango Gallery and West Indies Company.
