Shame on the 11 Senators

Dear Source:
As someone who has been on a local school board for many years and a past President of a private school board, I'm very disappointed in 11 of our senators who didn't have the courage to do the right thing, to allow personal politics to interfere with making a decision as important as educational reform. And not taking the time to really get to know Dr. Spampinato.
Those in the Dept. of Education and others in the community who have been able to get to know Dr. Spampinato have been impressed with her energy, passion for tackling tough jobs and, probably most importantly, her kindness and humanity The deJongh administration is truly serious about long overdue educational reforms and didn't make the selection of this Commissioner convenient or politically expedient.
Apparently 11 legislators did.
