Internet Access Available for Thursday's Legislative Session

Oct. 17, 2007 – Thursday's full session of the 27th Legislature can be heard on the Internet at V.I. public access radio station www.wiuj.com.
Station manager, Leo Maron, called the Source Wednesday to say he had been inundated with calls from Virgin Islanders across the country and the world who expressed strong interest in Thursday's confirmation hearing for Lynn Spampinato. Spampinato has been nominated by Gov. John P. deJongh Jr. to head the V.I. Education Department. The nomination has been marked by acrimony from some senators. (See "Senate Committee Sends Unfavorable Recommendation for Spampinato").
Moron asked the Source as a public service and to accommodate Source readers worldwide to provide a link to the WIUJ website where the meeting can be heard live. The meeting is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. AST Spampinato's nomination appears first on the agenda that was issued by the Legislature last Friday.
