What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

Oct. 16, 2007 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 21. This Sunday we will feature music by Bruce Springsteen, Everybody Fields, Arlo Guthrie, Lurrie Bell, Carole King, Johnny Cash, Elliot Smith and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "Magic," the new release from Bruce Springsteen. After releasing a Pete Seeger Tribute CD and a live concert CD, the "Boss" returns with a brand new CD full of new original Springsteen compositions, and, as expected, it's a fine release.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Nothing Is Okay" by Everybody Fields. The group has a nice folk-pop sound.
We play new music from blues artist Gerry Hundt, Bluehouse, Arlo Guthrie and more.
We also play music from bluegrass band Uncle Earl, Doc Watson, Carey and Lurrie Bell, the Kingsmen, Patsy Cline, Carole King, Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash and more. We celebrate the birthdays of Elvin Bishop, Memphis musician and producer Steve Cropper, Josh Ritter, Grateful Dead keyboard-player Brent Mydland and Nashville producer Owen Bradley. We remember singer-songwriter Elliot Smith on the anniversary of his death.
We remind everyone to come out to Magens Bay, Shed No. 4, on Sunday, Oct. 21, and support October Sunday, a fundraiser for the Family Resource Center.

We give away a copy of a blues-gospel CD from Marie Knight and a new release from reggae greats Toots & the Maytals.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker; Molly Molones; and St. Thomas Radiology Associates.
