Do the Right Thing…Just Once!

Dear Source:
With our dear senators in more pockets than lint, (credit to Dennis Miller), it is with regret Dr. Spaminato did not receive a favorable recommendation for Commissioner of Education. What is in it for the senators? A continuation of the same old same old translating into an even less educated population that cannot read, do simple math and will pander to the biggest fish fry and handout from our government officials? Ignorance is bliss among the senators to dwell on who paid for who to come and testify. Now that it has been determined the public sector paid for the trips, can you please do some investigating on who paid for the hundreds of unsolicited phone calls Sunday night within our community? How about some investigation on Lizz Brown and what her agenda may be? Can you verify who paid her expenses or are you just going to take her word for it since she is on the same negative rant all of you seem to be on save Senator Dowe? And the big (?) connection conspiracy of Alvarez and Marsal. Oh my…they were hired by agreement of Turnbull and the Federal Government over a year ago.
Can you please get to the heart of the questioning already? Is Dr. Spaminato qualified or not? Call her many references and do your due-diligence and stop the intrigue over some type of collusion and high drama. Just because some of you have ulterior motives does not mean others are as devious as you. Can it be that maybe Dr. Spaminato is truly qualified and driven to fix our education ills? No one before her has so what have you got to lose? Personally, after the eleven hours of disrespect and inane questioning, I would have hightailed it out of here on the first plane to anywhere.
Are you threatened because Dr. Spaminato is more educated, qualified and has made more money due to her education and achievements than any of you can ever hope to in your lifetime? Maybe it's because she has earned her status and salary instead of being an elected official having to pander to special interest groups for a job that should pay half of what you earn, (with a certainty of none of the bloated benefits you voted yourselves). You would be rewarded with a pink slip for the job you have done thus far in the private sector. Or is it, 'we make the laws' and 'we are in charge' once again thumbing your noses to the voting public as in ACT 6905 and Sirenusa and in not adhering to the Sunshine Act for FULL visibility within our government on proposed legislation? We will promise to show you just who is in charge next year at election time. Enjoy it while you can.
