Head Start Promotes Healthful Food Choices

Oct. 11, 2007 – The Department of Human Services Head Start Nutrition Component will be holding a sharing session on learning to read nutrition facts on food labels for parents who have children in Head Start. The session will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 11, at the Head Start Sugar Estate Multipurpose Complex.
Parents with children in the program are urged to attend and learn to use food labels to make healthy food choices.
