Capitol Hill Homeland Security Committee Searching for Interns

Oct. 11, 2007 – A paid competitive internship opportunity may be available to Virgin Islands graduate students or recent graduate students to help them obtain Capitol Hill experience, according to a press release from Delegate to Congress Donna M. Christensen
The Homeland Security Committee is seeking internship candidates to fill five positions for four months. This internship will be for the Spring 2008 Internship Cohort, and the committee will only accept up to five applicants from the Virgin Islands to be considered for it. The goal is to provide an opportunity to learn more about the daily operations of the committee and to gain an understanding of the federal policy-making process with regards to homeland security. The selected interns will, in addition to normal office duties, conduct research, draft memos, and attend symposiums, hearings and briefings.
If you are interested in this opportunity, furnish your resume, personal statement and two references for consideration to Makeda.Okolo@mail.house.gov .
